Stainless steel hygienic valves – general information

Stainless steel hygienic valves are intended for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries and for biotechnology. These are usually butterfly valves in AISI304 stainless steel (option: AISI316) with silicone seals (option: Viton, EPDM, HNBR). Internal surface roughness Ra < 0.8 µm. With BGA, FDA and PZH approved seals. Valve versions with EPDM and Viton seals conform to EHEDG hygienic requirements (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) and can be cleaned using CIP method. They meet the requirements of ATEX directive for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Nominal diameter range from DN10 to DN150, working pressure 10 bar. Fitted with DIN11851, Triclover, flange hygienic connections or weld-in pipe stubs.
